Overview

The steepest river run in Nepal that provides a total white water experience. It is a class 3-4 river with a lot of class 4 rapids. It is located 3 hrs outside of Kathmandu and is a great day trip. It is also possible to spend a night on the river.Guides are experienced rafters who have run all the rivers we offer and have the skills to provide you with a safe and enjoyable trip. There will always be a guide in every boat who will give instructions on paddling and pick out the safest route on the river.

Bhote Koshi is a river in Nepal, which is popular for the rafting lovers, its origion is in Tibet, which is snow-fed from the melting Himalaya ranges.Located about 70 km east of Kathmandu, it is one of the seven most popular white-water rafting rivers in Nepal. The origin of this roaring wall of white water gives the river it’s name; Bhote meaning coming from Tibet and Koshi meaning river, Bhote Koshi, the river that hails from Tibet. The path of this river is the steepest in Nepal creating a virtual year-round torrent that provides some of the most exciting rafting in the Nepal.It also serves the Bote Koshi Project,a hydroelectricity project. The Last Resort,one of the world’sdeepest gorge bungee jumps, is based in this river’s gorge, in Nepal lots of different kind of holidays among of them,Bungee Jump,based in the bank of this river is very exciting.

Baseri (95 km.) the main put in point for Bhote Kosi River is 4 hour drive North-East of Kathmandu. Transportation to Baseri will be by private transport. The 25 km. of river action takes two days. The road journey from the ‘Dam’ – take out point is approx. 3 hours to Kathmandu. There is an orientation meeting early in the evening before the trip, providing you with an opportunity to ask any further questions you may have, to meet your fellow rafters and also your guide.

There is not much time to look at the mountain scenery and surroundings once you are on this river as whitewater action starts! However, en route there is an excellent opportunity to stop in Dulikhel to admire the stunning views of the Himalayas! The Bhote Kosi is regarded as one of the best short white water rafting trips in the world. It is the steepest river that is rafted in Nepal, with continuous rapid action making this river a full-on commitment and a huge adrenaline rush. This is an ideal trip for those wanting a short but intense and thrilling rafting trip. It is better suited to those who has some previous rafting
